People at the bottom of the information tree need access to the larger body of knowledge at the top. Co-operative Adoption Reunion Registries accomplishes this purpose making the smallest registry or searcher as big as the largest. Advertise that you have access to 25,000 or maybe in the future 50,000 or 500,000 adoptees and birth parents. Copy our logo and add it to your Web Page (right click on the logo and save it to a file). Add your database to this birth index.
There is are no membership fee and there is no requirement that you share your information. To gain the widest distribution of the information these databases and programs are available for any triad member to download and are also available on CD-Rom. ....Happy reunions, David T. Gray.
World Wide Registry - (series 10 milion)
Make a directory on your hard disk - like "wwr" and put the files in the directory. Either unzip the files or rename them to ".exe" and run the EXE file to dearchive.
John (JDDeHaven) had an idea of setting-up a relay system using the robot - he for instance automatically relays a registration to me, I relay to you - if you are using the robot then you can relay to people down stream from you.
Sharing
Upload your updates to the net. Most Internet providers allow you have one to five meg. of storage on their hard disk. All files on the Net have an address. Figure-out the address and send it to me and I'll add it here.
For people that do not have Web space supplied by your internet provider - there are public servers that you upload-to, or ask a friend to share some space.
Either "Zip" the file or rename it - like "MyFile.Zip" - then most browsers will download it - of course if somebody tries to unzip-it they will get an error - this is ok - they can look in the file and see that it is a text file and treat it accordingly.
Duplications
Triad members may register with more than one registry, or register more than once, this can create multiple entries for the same person.
REGISTRY SEARCH PROGRAM AND EDITOR
After you download the search program (Wwr.exe) and the registry database (Wwr.csv). Run wwr.exe. Type-in "/67" in the "Search Criteria" window. Press the "Search" button, click on the items that appear in the window below, to display information on the item. Now, on the next line type-in "gray" and press the "Search" button again. You get all the people in 1967 and with the characters "gray" in the posting.

ADD YOUR OWN DATABASE
Format it according the database structure below and add to the files to be searched. If you would like to distribute it on the CD, contact me.
REGISTRY DATABASE STRUCTURE
The registry database is supplied in a comma-separated text file format - one line per entry. Note: the first line of the file is always ignored - so leave it blank.

REGISTRY DATABASE NOTES
People's brains seem to go south in this realm. So when entering information, they mess-it-up.
DATES Dates are supposed to be entered "like" 5/1/67 but sometimes people put 05/01/67 or 5-01-67 or 5\1\1967 or May 1,'67 etc...
When I search on dates "like" 5/1/67, I recommend breaking the date in to components - putting "/67" on the first line, "5/" on the second line and "1/" on the third line or something like this to handle the problem of "05" or "01" in the date.
EMAIL ADDRESSES
Email addresses are also a problem. People from AOL often leave-off the "aol.com" others just get-messed-it-up. When trying to contact people with messed-up email addresses I send several emails with different permutations of the address to see what bounces. I also recommend sending using return receipt to confirm that they received-it. Most email programs will do this.
Generally, the database is fairly clean. However, you need to keep this in mind.
BUILD UTILITY
This program has a variety of uses, you may want to have more than one copy of the program available with different configurations - just copy the files to a different directory.
BUILD YOUR OWN DATABASE
Use the "wwr.exe" program to build you own database - then use this UTILITY to extract the information to share with others - see [Configuration] on the main menu.
