I have looked at so many databases about adoption because I am trying to
find my sister that I have not seen in 30 + years. I also think that I
saw you on Television at one time and for some reason the words of Born
In Texas came to mind. I really hope and pray that you and your database
can really help me because I don't know where else I can go. It is one
brick wall after the other. I have hired on so called research locator
orginizations and I have to really get nasty with them in order to get
some if any information. I have also went into other databases that didn't
do anything but look like a book and was really nothing but a joke. So
I hope that your program is really going to help instaed of making a fool
out of me because trying to locate a loved one that one is desperatly trying
to find is no laughing matter.

Hospital Edna Gladney Home. He may not know he is adopted but if he is

and had expressed his need to locate his bio-family yet the law at the
time in the State of Texas was that he had to be 21 to register with the

- Thoughts = One would think after over 50 years that it would be possible
to obtain birth information! I was born May 30 1942 in Yreka Siskyou County
California. My adoption was arranged prior to my birth and my adoptive
parents were there at the hospital. The adoption took place in Klamath
Falls Oregon as soon as could be scheduled. Both adoptive parents have
passed away as probably have the birth parents as it was told to me that
I was the last in a very large family. The Klamath County Court admitted
that the adoption took place in their jurisdiction but refused me any information.
Luckily a clerk who had obviously looked up the case had scrawled some
notes to the judge which must have been in contact with carbon paper as
a few words made it onto the letter of rejection written by the judge.
I got the name "Downey" from it. Every attempt to locate a Downey
in Yreka at the time failed. There is some word that the family was migrating
to Oregon as farm workers. My life with my adoptive parents was excellent
and I had no desire to know my birth parents at any time when they were
alive. But now I am simply curious. I would never intrude into the lives
of siblings. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Clair William

love to find out about my origins but have no wish to disrupt my birthmother's
life. I just want her to know that I am happy that I was adopted by a loving
family and she should have no regrets or worries on my account. The authorities
here in Ireland make it very difficult to trace birthparents - a confidentiality
assurance was given to all birthmothers which to date has overridden the
rights of adoptees to gain access to information about themselves and their
birthparents. Some day perhaps this will change but for now it's a difficult

born 4/23/68 at 1:15 pm after 5 1/2 hours of labor 7 lbs. 7 ozs. in Jackson
Mississippi at St. Dominic's Hospital and placed for adoption with Catholic
Charities. The Law Offices of Brunini Grantham & Quin handled the adoption
for Catholic Charities and said all records were ordered destroyed! Bull!?!?
That was before I realized you have to lie cheat beg and steal to get information
on yourself! I guess I could find a private investigator to lie beg cheat
and steal for me but I just don't have that kind of money. I really want
to do this but the emotions wear you out and it seems easier to just pay
someone for the frustation and call me when they are done! I've said this

I had an intimate relationship with a young girl of fifteen. Although we
both cared for each other we were far too young to think in terms of a
life long commitment. The following year when I visited home I received
a call from this girl. She invited me over to her home and asked if I would
like to meet my son. I visited her and the baby but when I questioned whether
she was 100% certain that it was my son she went ballistic. At any rate
she disappeared soon thereafter and to date I have no idea where they could
be. I heard through mutual friends that she had married had more kids and
was apparently very happy. I have no intention of causing any disruption
in her current situation for I too am very happy with one son. However
it would be nice if I could see him just one more time. Maybe his physical

had two more children but there was still a very large hole in my soul.
It wasn't until my 16 year son told me to find his brother that I was able
to get on with searching for my first born son and the healing process
began. We have found each other. The good news is he had a wonderful loving
